Summet's AI features use generative AI from the companies below. If you agree, the information a feature needs is sent to them each time you use it.
Who receives it
- OpenAI (USA) — chat and documents, image generation, voice conversations and the phone assistant, organizing your files for AI search
- Anthropic (USA) — chat, writing documents and slides
- Google (USA) — Gemini chat, voice conversations, translation and data analysis, image and video generation, web and YouTube search
- Soniox (USA) — speech-to-text and live translation
What is sent
- What you type, your conversations, and notes the AI keeps about you
- Contents of files, documents, photos and links you add, and your saved files and records, organized so AI can search them and suggest to-dos
- Audio from recordings, live transcription and voice input
- Call audio from Summet assistant calls and translated voice calls
- Email, calendar and other connected content you ask AI to use, and details a request needs, such as your name
This includes what other people wrote or said in what you bring in, such as chats, shared documents, meeting recordings and the other person on a call.
It is sent only when you use an AI feature or when your saved files and records are organized for AI search, and only to do that work. Under their contracts with Summet, these companies use it only for that work and protect it at least as well as Summet's Privacy Policy does.
AI answers and results can be wrong, so please check anything important.
If you don't agree, features that don't use AI — messages, viewing and exporting records, recording without transcription, editing documents, settings — keep working. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy › Third-party AI.
